Ceitidh is a Scottish Gaelic computer voice developed by CereProc in partnership with CALL Scotland.
Ceitidh is one of three Scottish Voices which can be used to get your computer to speak Gaelic text, this is called "Text To Speech (TTS)".
She is free for use by public sector schools in Scotland.
We created this website to provide information about installing Ceitidh and compatibility with operating systems and browsers.
Additionally, we also wrote a Chrome Extension and a GoogleDocs add-on to better integrate Ceitidh with the written Gaelic you will access with a web browser.
If you are studying Gaelic, Ceitidh is a great addition to your PC and we hope these pages will help to get you started.
